Tan Tat Jin

Tan Tat Jin has more than two decades of experience in the area of HRD. He specialises in Organisational Development (OD) and Management Development. A master trainer, he has worked with and conducted seminars for senior managers and executives of multi-national and local companies, including Baxter Healthcare, ICI, Schneider Electric, Shell, Singapore Technologies Group and Tech Semiconductor. He is effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, and has conducted numerous workshops in China.

Tat Jin holds key responsibility for the design, development and delivery of SDC’s training programmes as well as OD and HRD interventions. Some of these programmes have received excellent reviews from both clients and learning specialists.

Prior to the founding of SDC, Tat Jin worked with Shell Eastern Petroleum Pte Ltd for 13 years, from 1982-95. His last assignment was as Organisation Effectiveness Adviser, working with line managers on issues relating to change management, organisational vision, values, capability gaps, organisational climate and business improvement. Prior to that he was the Learning Systems Adviser for Shell’s East And Australasia region, with responsibility for diagnosing, designing, developing and delivering a variety of management development programmes.

His other professional experiences include serving as a tutor-counsellor for the University of Strathclyde’s MBA programme on Organisation Development and Management of Human Resources (1 992-96).He also tutored for the University of Sheffield’s Masters in Education programmes for training managers and educationists (1992-94).Tat Jin has an MBA from the University of Strathclyde (1991).
